Topic: USA stations on some devices

Hi.

Quote:
The links work on the Database website alright, but I still have the problem on my Centrios that, when I go to World Station > Location > North America > USA and then select any USA state, I get "Service Not Available", so I still cannot connect to any stations in the USA.

I am not sure why I am getting this problem with USA stations.  I wonder whether I need to change the firmware on my Centrios?  The information screen currently shows F/W Ver. 2.0.0  uP Ver: 0x25

I am somwhat confused by the entries in the Download section and associated Forum string.  Should I upgrade my firmware using "Kw-1004-2.0.0.23 New Generic KW-1004 firmware for various Penbex models. Among others for: Neon, KW1004, Proline, Watson CO1790 etc." dated 03-19-2014 in the Download section?  As I understand it, since you purchased the Penbex domain as announced on 2015/07/23, it should not make any difference whether I use F/W Ver. 2.0.0 or F/W Ver. 2.0.0.23.  Is this correct?
Indeed since I own the original Penbex domain there is no need to load modified firmware.
All Penbex devices with original firmware are automatically connecting to the Listenlive database as if it were the original Penbex Worldstation database.

Regarding the US States, I see no issues on the server. All data is served correctly.
The only issue that could happen is where the device thinks it does not have to load new data from the server due to data caching.
Make sure the device uses the correct date. If all else fails, a reset through settings might help fix this.

Yes!  I got the CBC Music Vancouver working again.  Thank you!

However I am still not able to connect to the Classical King stations in Seattle on my Centrios.

I have checked the mentioned items, and I tried to correct them as well as possible.
Please have a look at:

Classical King

Classical King - Classical Calm

new and additional (only AAC format available)
Classical King - Christmas Channel [AAC]

Also updated
CBC Music Vancouver

Please be so kind and verify them with your receiver and tell me the result.

I have a Centrios 1315117 internet radio.
When I go to World Station > Location > North America > USA > I get "Service Not Available" for all USA states.
I would like to connect to some USA stations.
I had thought that I might be able to do that with the "Add Station" feature by adding the stations as "Internet Only" stations, but I get "Suggestion rejected - Stream URL entered already exists".
I would like to be able to connect to the following stations:

Classical KING
Website: classicalking.org
Stream URL: http://classicalking.streamguys1.com/king-fm-aac-128k
Short description: Classical music station with host music introductions
Location: USA/Washington/Seattle
Genre: Classical

Classical Calm
Website: classicalking.org
Stream URL: http://classicalking.streamguys1.com/evergreen-aac-128k
Short description: Classical music station with curated selections (no spoken introductions)
Location: USA/Washington/Seattle
Genre: Classical

Any help would be appreciated, either by suggesting a means to connect to USA stations generally, or any other means.
Thank you.

This relates back to my previous message on this forum under the title "North Amercian classical music stations" from about a year ago (December 2023).
I was able to connect to the CBC Music Pacific (Vancouver) station at that time - https://24443.live.streamtheworld.com/CBUFM_CBC_SC - but it seems this URL stopped working as of about a month or two ago, and I do not know if there is a new URL that works.
